Kapsch will Install GSM-R for Czech Rail Network

SŽDC signs deal with Kapsch for installation of GSM-R technology along a 230km railway track, aiming to complete the project by early 2013.

SŽDC, the Czech infrastructure operator, has signed a deal with Kapsch to install its GSM-R technology along a 230km railway track between Ostrava-SR and Prerov-C. Trebov.

Under the €20m project, Kapsch will provide complete infrastructure in addition to planning services and the intelligent maintenance system GSM-R Smart House.
The project is expected to be completed by early 2013.
