TX Logistik, a subsidiary of the FS Italiane Group, has increased the frequency of its intermodal rail freight service between Duisburg, Germany, and Milan, Italy. The company adjusted its schedule from six to ten round trips per week on the Rhine-Alpine corridor.

The service in Italy has been relocated to the Milano Smistamento terminal. Operations were previously handled at the Milano Segrate terminal. The German point of origin and destination remains the Ziel Terminal in the port of Duisburg.

Each train operating on the route has a maximum payload of 1,600 tons, distributed across 34 loading units. The service is configured to transport semi-trailers, 30-foot and 45-foot containers, and 20/25-foot tank containers. The system accommodates the loading of non-craneable semi-trailers.

The Ziel Terminal in Duisburg is equipped with seven transshipment tracks, each measuring 720 meters in length. The facility utilizes two gantry cranes for loading and unloading operations.
