Transmashholding has Increased the Sales Volume by 30%
Total sales volume of JSC Transmashholding and its subsidiaries is 74 bln. RUR over the period from January till September, which is 30% more than over the same period of 2010 (57,2 bln. RUR).
The most significant increase showed the sales of hopper cars – by 19% (from 1592 to 1884 units), mainline diesel locomotives – by 72 % (from 64 to 110 sections), diesel gensets – by 29 % (from 275 to 354 units).
The railway operator JSC Russian Railways is the biggest consumer of the Holding products in 2011. The products also were supplied to the internal commercial market (hopper cars, locomotives, diesel engines, traction equipment, components) and for export (diesel locomotives, diesel gensets, metro cars, components). For the first time Transmashholding started the export of diesel multiple unit trains (DP-S, designed under the order of Serbian Railways).
For the first time in the history of the Russian transport engineering Transmashholding presented the first high speed dual-system passenger electric locomotive EP20; new escort cars for freight and service trains. The development of shunting locomotives TEM TMH is finished; the production of open cars of 12-3090 model is started. The work on two new modifications of EMU trains ED4M is completed.
The assembly of innovative mainline freight AC electric locomotive 2ES5 prototype is finished. This locomotive is developed in cooperation with Transmashholding strategic partner French company Alstom Transport. The work on the future-oriented double deck EMU train is started.
