TCDD and TCDD Transport JSC Signs Access Contract

The first access contract was signed between TCDD and Railway Train Operator TCDD Transport JSC.

After the Network Statement issued in the framework of the Law No. 6461 on Liberalization of Rail Transport in Turkey; an access contract was signed for the high speed trains to be operated on Ankara-Eskişehir line between the TCDD making infrastructure capacity allocation and TCDD Transport JSC having a positive result for its capacity allocation application.

The contract was signed by Director General of TCDD Mr. İsa Apaydın and Acting Director General of TCDD Transport JSC Mr. Veysi Kurt in Meeting Saloon of TCDD Headquarter on Monday, 23 January 2017. Reminding that a new period was started in railway transport as of 01 January 2017, Mr. Apaydın stated that “After the Law No. 6461 on Liberalization of Rail Transport in Turkey, the works related to the secondary regulations as well as the re-structuring of TCDD and establishment of TCDD Transport JSC as the affiliated company of TCDD have been completed. The Network Statement was issued and came into effect. We are signing here Access Contract with TCDD Transport JSC that has been making train operation since 1st January. I hope we will be successful all together as it has been up to now.”

Acting Director General of TCDD Transport JSC Mr. Veysi Kurt stated that “The Network Statement issued by TCDD and the Access Contract signed here are really important both for us and the sector. I believe we will honourably provide better services in the new period.”

Access Contracts for passenger and freight transport will be continued to be signed electronically separately for each train between our Enterprise and our customers.
