Skanska will Renew Gdansk Station

The Polish Rail Administration has contracted Swedish firm Skanska for a PLN129m renovation project at Warsaw’s Gdansk railway station, including track restructuring, platform demolition/rebuilding, and the construction of an underground walkway to connect with the nearby subway and Zajaczka street.

The Polish Rail Administration has awarded a PLN129m (approximately $45m) contract to Swedish company Skanska to renovate Gdansk railway station in Warsaw.

The project involves restructuring the track area and demolishing and rebuilding four platforms on the station. A new underground walkway to the adjoining Gdansk subway station and Zajaczka street will also be built.

Work is expected to begin in autumn and finish in 13 months.
