PolRegio: DMU Fleet Modernization in Poland for Passenger Comfort

Contract Details

Deployment and Features
The three Lint 41 DMUs have already been delivered to PolRegio’s facility in Paterek, with the remaining trains expected soon. These DMUs will operate on routes such as Kostrzyn–Krzyż (via Gorzów Wielkopolski) and Krzyż–Piła–Chojnice.
Each unit will provide accommodation for over 200 passengers, including a minimum of 120 seated, and will have capacity for at least four bicycles. The trains will feature air conditioning, a passenger information system, CCTV monitoring, and ramps for passengers with reduced mobility. Each unit will include at least two wheelchair spaces and a PRM-compliant toilet with a baby-changing table.
Fleet Modernization
The acquisition of these five vehicles for the Wielkopolska and Lubuskie regions is part of PolRegio’s broader plan to expand and modernize its diesel fleet. PolRegio has also initiated a procurement process for additional second-hand multiple units for routes in the Warmia and Mazury region. In addition, PolRegio is working to strengthen its electric fleet.
