Oman Rail Invites International Tenders for Railway Project
Oman Rail has invited international tenders for its railway project.
Companies tendering must have a minimum experience of 15 years in consultancy services for railway projects. Companies must have supported at least one railway project in the last five years, according to an announcement by Oman Rail.
The services offered will include operation and maintenance, infrastructure, rolling stock, management, railway facilities, mass transit system and auxiliary services i.e. transportation logistics to ports and mines.
The documents for the tender have to be collected by November 7 and submitted by December 12, 2016, along with a non-refundable OMR 500 tender fee.
The Oman Railway Project is designed to link all three major ports in the country: Salalah, Sohar and Duqm. When completed, this network is expected to be a vital logistics boost for the country.
