Indonesia has announced plans to build a US$400m rail link between Jakarta and Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

Work on the project, part of a government initiative to improve infrastructure in the capital, is expected to begin in the first half of 2008.
PT RaiLink President Director Masjraul Hidayat says the financing details are still being worked out.
Hidayat says the firm has been eyeing a scheme where 70 percent of the IDR3.6tn (US$394.5m) investment is financed using bank loans.
The 33km link is expected to be complete in the third quarter of 2009.
