Ghana will Invest About $40m to Accra-Tema Railway Line
The Ghanaian Government invests $39.5 million to rehabilitate the Accra-Tema railway line and launch two DMU trains costing $23 million with a capacity for 1,200 passengers per trip, as well as extend the 10km Tema extension by $16.5 million opening in the month of the project completion.

The Ghanaian Government has invested $39.5m in a bid to rehabilitate the Accra-Tema railway line in the country.
The government will launch two Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) trains costing $23m. The DMU’s will contain eight coaches and will be able to carry about 1,200 passengers a trip.
The government also said the 10km Tema extension from Asoprochona station, worth $16.5m, will open by the end of the month.
