Factory Testing for 2TE25AM Diesel Locomotive Completed Successfully

CJSC Transmashholding and JSC Russian Railways have completed the factory testing of ten 2TE25AM mainline double diesel freight locomotives, equipped with MTU engines, for shipment to certification testing after a 5000 km run at Bryansk-Lygovskiy depot.

Factory testing of 2TE25AM mainline double diesel freight locomotive equipped with MTU engine have been completed at Bryansk Engineering Plant.

2TE25AM double diesel freight locomotive is made on the basis of 2TE25A with the same main and auxiliary components and general layout of the loco. The locomotive features MTU power pack.

Factory tests included the locomotive test run in various modes, adjustment of safety systems, testing of noise, vibration, infrasonic sound levels at locomotive team working place, exhaust gases analysis and locomotive load testing, as per Deputy Main Designer, Locomotive Building, Nicolay Fedyaev.

Presently, the diesel locomotive is ready for 5000 km running. This test stage will be implemented at Bryansk-Lygovskiy depot. After running, the locomotive will be sent to certification testing.

CJSC Transmashholding and JSC Russian Railways concluded supply contract for ten 2TE25AM mainline double diesel freight locomotives on May 31, 2012 during Business Forum 1520 Strategic Partnership in Sochi.
