Bombardier Transportation has secured a $185 million contract from Israel Railways for the delivery of double-deck coaches, expanding its business relationship with ISR that began in 1999.

Bombardier Transportation has received a $185m contract from Israel Railways (ISR) for the delivery of 78 double-deck coaches with possible options for more.

The vehicles will be manufactured at Bombardier Transportation’s Gorlitz facility in Germany and in Israel. Bombardier Transportation Israel chief country representative Yossi Daskal said the company is proud to continue its business relationship with ISR, which started in 1999, and to contribute to reliable public transport offering in Israel.

Canada-based Bombardier has a presence in over 60 countries and has an installed base of over 100,000 vehicles worldwide.
