Airport Express Announced in Moscow

Aeroexpress plans to begin operating new rail connections from Belorussky Station to Sheremetyevo Airport in Moscow by the end of 2008, reducing travel time significantly and replacing buses with express trains.

New rail and airport terminal connections to Moscow will be running by the beginning of 2008, Russian rail company Aeroexpress has announced.

The company is currently reconstructing a terminal at Belorussky Station where express trains will run to Sheremetyevo Airport, near Moscow, in as little as 35 min.
Aeroexpress plans to launch the first of seven trains in December this year. Toal refurbisment will cost $7.7m according to Russian Newspaper, The Moscow Times. Non-express trains currently run between Savyolovsky Station and Lobnya Station, where a bus connects Sheremetyevo Airport.
