The League of Railway Women (LRW) is accepting nominations for the 2025 Railway Woman of the Year award, with nominations due by Oct. 10. The winner will be recognized at the National Railroad Construction & Maintenance Association (NRC) 2026 Conference & NRC-REMSA Exhibition in Hollywood, California, from January 7–10, 2026.

Railway Woman of the Year Award

The Railway Woman of the Year award, presented in partnership with a rail magazine, recognizes outstanding women in the rail industry. The award focuses on individuals who demonstrate leadership, innovation, and a commitment to safety and community.

Nomination Criteria

Nominees should demonstrate a strong vision, foster continuous improvement and creativity, and overcome challenges. They should also support the recruitment and retention of women in rail, drive innovation, demonstrate excellence in their organization and community, and champion safe rail practices.

Nomination Deadline and Event

Nominations for the 2025 award are due by Oct. 10. The winner will be honored at the NRC 2026 Conference & NRC-REMSA Exhibition.
