SeaPort Manatee in Palmetto, Florida, achieved a record cargo flow of 11,855,828 tons for fiscal-year 2025, which ended on September 30.

Cargo Volume Records

SeaPort Manatee reported a record cargo volume of 11,855,828 tons for fiscal year 2025, which surpassed the previous record of 11,779,601 tons handled in fiscal year 2024.

Liquid Bulk Movement

The port’s liquid bulk movement, driven by petroleum products and juices, reached 6,400,844 tons, marking an 8% increase from fiscal year 2024.

Dry Bulk Movement

Dry bulk commodities, including phosphate rock, granite, and limestone, saw a 9.7% rise, totaling 3,442,991 tons.

Breakbulk and Containerized Cargo

Breakbulk tonnage increased by 10.4% to 793,844 tons. This rise was influenced by Del Monte Fresh Produce N.A. Inc.’s switch from containerized to breakbulk shipping for its tropical fruit shipments. Conversely, containerized cargo decreased to 919,556 tons from the fiscal year 2024 record of 1,283,027 tons.
