RZD and Siemens Sign 1.7 bln Euro Contract on Train Servicing

Russian Railways and Siemens sign a $1.9 billion contract worth 40 years of technical maintenance for Russian high-speed trains, highlighting the economic significance of international collaborations at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

The 2015 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) has wrapped in Russia, with over 200 contracts worth $5.4 billion signed at the three-day event attended by a record number of participants.

Russian Railways (RZD) and German company Siemens signed a $1.9-billion contract for the technical maintenance of the Lastochka high-speed trains operating in Russia. Contract include 40 years technical maintenance for this high speed line.
