Federal Funding for Port Security

The program’s aim is to protect essential port infrastructure from terrorism, improve maritime domain awareness, enhance maritime security risk management, and sustain or reinstate maritime security mitigation protocols. Burns Harbor Security Enhancements

A federal grant of $115,691 will be used to procure and install advanced closed-circuit TV infrastructure at Burns Harbor. The project involves the installation of new lighting and fiber, which will improve surveillance capabilities. Ports of Indiana will contribute a $38,564 matching amount to finalize the project.
