Pinsly Railroad Co. has completed a rehabilitation project on the Georgiana & Andalusia Railroad in southern Alabama. The company assumed operations of the line from the previous operator, Three Notch Railway LLC, in October 2025. The infrastructure had been out of service prior to the acquisition by Pinsly.

The project involved an investment exceeding $6 million to restore the 36-mile rail corridor connecting Andalusia and Georgiana. Work focused on bringing the dormant infrastructure up to operational standards for freight service. The first revenue service train operated on January 20, 2026, marking the formal reopening of the line.

The restored short line provides industrial customers with a direct interchange to the CSX network at Georgiana, Alabama. Key shippers utilizing the reopened connection include flooring manufacturer Shaw Industries Group and polymer producer Arclin, both of which have facilities in the Andalusia area.
