Midas Holdings will Supply 80 Train Sets for China

Singapore’s Midas Holdings has secured a CNY353m ($52m) contract with Bombardier Sifang Transportation for the supply of 80 train sets, including 1,120 train cars, for China’s CRH1 350 380kmph EMU high-speed rail project.

Singapore’s Midas Holdings will supply 80 train sets, equivalent to 1,120 train cars, for a high-speed rail project in China.

The CNY353m ($52m) contract has been awarded to the company’s Jilin Midas Aluminium Industries unit by Bombardier Sifang Transportation.
The fleet will be used for the CRH1 350 380kmph EMU high-speed train project, which will have trains operating at speeds up to a maximum of 380kmph.
Delivery of the train cars is expected to begin in 2010 and finish in 2014.
