Hessische Landesbahn Orders Coradia Lint Regional Trains

Hessische Landesbahn (HLB) has signed a contract with French firm Alstom to purchase 23 Coradia Lint regional trains, adding to HLB’s existing fleet of 60 such trains serving the state from December 2011.

Hessische Landesbahn (HLB), Germany has awarded a €65m ($88.2m) contract to French firm Alstom to supply 23 Coradia Lint regional trains.

The trains will add to HLB’s existing fleet of 60 Coradia Lint trains and will serve the state of Hesse from December 2011 onwards.

The 95% recyclable two-car diesel multiple units can accommodate up to 116 passengers and operate at speeds of up to 120kmph.
The trains feature mobile landings and onboard surveillance cameras as well as a special access ramp and two wheelchair spaces.
