Bangladesh and India have finalized railway projects totaling over $123 million with a $1 billion loan from India, including bridge, overpass, flyover construction, and vehicle purchases.

Bangladesh and India have finalised railway projects funded by a $1bn loan from India.
The projects involve building a $120m bridge over the Titas River, the construction of a $31m overpass at Jurain rail crossing and a flyover at Malibagh rail crossing in Dhaka.
Other purchases include 125 broad gauge passenger coaches for $54m, ten locomotive engines for $36m, 60 tank wagons for $8.85m and 50 flat wagons for $5m.
The countries’ finance ministries will sign an agreement to utilise the loan once India’s planning ministry gives its final approval, according to thedailystar.net.
