Introduction

Alpha Trains and Alstom have extended their Global Service Agreement (GSA) for the full-service maintenance of their Traxx locomotive fleet, extending the agreement to run until 2039.

Extended Agreement

The Global Service Agreement (GSA) between Alpha Trains and Alstom, initially signed in 2021 for eight years, has been extended for an additional 10 years, concluding in 2039. The extended contract now encompasses the maintenance of over 100 Traxx locomotives operating throughout Western and Central Europe.

Growth in Scope

Since the initial partnership, the number of locomotives maintained under the full-service framework has doubled. This growth highlights the quality and reliability of Alstom’s service.

Key Personnel

Vincent Pouyet, Managing Director Locomotives at Alpha Trains, stated, “The extension of our Global Service Agreement with Alstom underscores the excellent cooperation between our companies… With this extension, we are securing long-term operational excellence for our Traxx fleet.”

Service Details

The Global Service Agreement provides comprehensive technical support for locomotives leased on a full-service basis. Alstom manages all aspects of maintenance, including corrective and preventive servicing, spare parts, and repairs. This arrangement enables operators to concentrate on their core business, while Alpha Trains ensures the locomotives’ reliability, safety, and availability.
