Progressive Railroading is accepting nominations for its 2026 Women of Influence In Rail program, which recognizes female employees in the North American railroad industry.

Program Overview

The 2026 Women of Influence In Rail program seeks to acknowledge women in the railroad industry. The program will recognize female employees demonstrating influence in leadership, innovation, technology, or sustainability.

Nomination Criteria

Companies can nominate up to four employees, with one nomination per category. The program accepts nominations for women working in various sectors.

Eligibility

Eligible nominees include women working for North American Class Is, short lines, regionals, passenger railroads, and rail industry suppliers, contractors, product manufacturers, or engineering firms that contract with railroads. Nominations will also be accepted for women who work for rail industry associations.
