Florida can Apply Bullet Train Budget
Florida is considering applying for federal funding to revive its stalled bullet train project, which has been inactive since 1999, following recent guidelines issued by the Federal Railroad Administration.

The US state of Florida is planning to apply for a share of $8bn in federal money to revive its bullet train project, pending since 1999.
It is reviewing interim guidelines issued by the US Federal Railroad Administration and may file a ‘pre-application’ by the stated 10 July 2009 deadline.
Florida’s efforts to resurrect the project are inspired by US President Obama’s vision to build a national network of high-speed trains similar to those in France and Spain.
