Bombardier Transportation has been awarded a contract by India’s Delhi Metro Rail Corporation for rail signaling equipment worth $43 million, including design, manufacturing, supply, installation, and testing of the Bombardier CITYFLO 350 system.

India’s Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has awarded Bombardier Transportation a contract for rail signalling equipment worth US$43m.

Bombardier will design, manufacture, supply, install and test the Bombardier CITYFLO 350 signalling system that has been successfully implemented in Spain, Iran, Turkey and Korea.
The system will be installed on two new sections of lines totalling 37km, representing more than half of the Delhi Metro phase II expansion.
The system will reduce wear on the vehicles while offering passengers superior safety and smoother rides.
Bombardier has become one of the leading providers of signalling equipment, holding a 33% share of the global market.
