UK-based rail organisation Jarvis Rail has won a contract with UK rail company Network Rail to renew rail tracks across the country, in a deal expected to increase the company’s profits by £15m a year.

Jarvis Rail will retain its existing contract for plain line and switch and crossing (‘S&C’) renewals in the North East of London and will start work on a new contract to renew the plain line and S&C track renewals in the East Midlands area.

As part of Network Rail’s rebalancing of geographical workloads, Jarvis Rail will transfer its existing S&C work in Scotland to another contractor.
