Strabag has secured a €570m ($914m) contract for the construction of the 32.5km Koralm Tunnel in Austria.

The project is being delivered for ÖBB Infrastruktur, and will be the longest railway tunnel in the country upon completion.
The tunnel is the main section of the new Koralm railway link to be built between Graz and Klagenfurt, and is a key section of the Baltic-Adriatic axis of TEN Corridor No. 23 between Gdansk, Warsaw, Vienna and Bologna.
Strabag will work with construction company Jäger Bau to construct two parallel, 9.9m diameter single-track bores with a length of 20km each.
