Siemens Mobility has partnered with French simulation expert Sogeclair Simulation to enhance operator training for its Mireo trains using a cutting-edge digital twin platform. The collaboration integrates Sogeclair’s OkSyGen software into Siemens’ train control desk simulator, creating a hyper-realistic training environment that mirrors actual driving conditions.

The new system, developed through a rigorous R&D hackathon process, reduces lifecycle costs and accelerates simulator availability—even before physical trains are delivered. Frank Hoffmann, Siemens Mobility’s Head of Engineering, emphasized that the digital twin technology ensures unprecedented realism, critical for optimizing operator performance.

Sogeclair’s VP of Rail Simulation, Jean-Baptiste Prost, highlighted the partnership’s focus on delivering high Return on Investment (RoI) through advanced simulation accuracy. The tool will debut at Innotrans in Berlin, showcasing its potential to transform rail operator training globally.
