Irish rail company Iarnrod Eireann has announced details of its planned new underground DART line linking Heuston Station to the Dublin docklands.

Under the €1.3bn scheme, a new DART line will branch off the existing tracks into the docklands before going underground to Pearse Station, St Stephen’s Green, Christchurch and Heuston.
Iarnrod Eireann say the line will complete the transformation of the Greater Dublin area’s rail service capacity from 33 million passenger journeys annually to over 100 million.
The plans are due to go on display next week at Dublin City Council’s Civic Offices.
