Botswana and Mozambique are planning to construct a railway line connecting the capitals of the two countries.

Mozambican President Armando Guebuza said the countries will sign a memorandum of understanding.
The Gaborone-Maputo line on the Indian Ocean coast will cover a shorter distance compared to the existing Botswana-Mozambique rail line that runs through Zimbabwe.
