Alstom will supply 16 Coradia Lint regional trains to German rail operator Deutsche Bahn (DB) Regio for use on the North network of Schleswig-Holstein.

The diesel-engined two-coach trains can reach speeds of up to 120kmph, can accommodate 130 passengers and are 95% recyclable.
The trains are disabled-friendly, featuring continuous low-floor mobile pallets located at the entrance and at gangways between the coaches.
The trains are expected to enter service in December 2011.
The €40m order follows a 2008 contract between DB and Alstom for 180 Coradia Lint.
