Alstom has secured a significant contract with the Tunis transit authority to deliver and maintain 16 additional Citadis trams, enhancing public transport capacity in Tunisia’s capital.

Alstom has received a contract from the Tunis transit authority to complete and maintain Citadis trams in the Tunisian capital.

The company will deliver 16 additional Citadis tram sets capable of carrying over 460,000 passengers a day. Alstom will also provide maintenance services for the fleet of 55 Citadis tram sets over a five-year period.

The €58m ($75m) contract is intended to meet increasing passenger transportation needs following two rail line extensions in the region.
