Alstom has established a new training centre at its manufacturing plant in Mátranovák, Hungary, dedicated to welding and fitting for railway bogie frame production. The facility, which was opened on 28 January 2026, supports the existing site workforce of more than 400 personnel.

The centre’s equipment includes 10 welding stations, a cutting machine, and two console cranes. Trainees will also operate production-grade clamps and rotators to replicate the live manufacturing environment at the Mátranovák factory.

Training programs are scheduled for durations of eight to twelve weeks. The curriculum combines classroom-based instruction with practical education covering specialist welding for bogie frames, machinery skills, and safety protocols.
