Japan has rolled out its new bullet train Hayabusa, which will operate between Tokyo and Shin-Aomori.

The high-speed train will run at a speed of 300km/hr and cut down travel times between the two destinations to just over three hours. The new Shinkansen Hayabusa services will use ten-car E5 series sets, featuring an extended nose design.

The maximum speed is planned to be increased to 320 km/hour from 2012.
