SBB will Invest 9,32m CHF for Railway Infrastructure Project
The Federal Council has approved a budget of CHF 9.32 million for SBB’s TGV project linking Daillens and Vallorbe, including modifications to track geometry in several tunnels and replacing stairs at Vallorbe station, with the goal of connecting RegioExpress St. Gallen – Constance by June 2018 as part of the LGV-R program.

SBB plans the rail infrastructure for the TGV linking two stage between Daillens and Vallorbe.
The Federal Council gave the green light Wednesday to a budget of CHF 9.32 million for the Vaud section.
Project will finish by the end of June 2018, modify the geometry of the track, catenary and the gauge in several tunnels. In addition the stairs to the 2 platforms will be replaced in Vallorbe station.
Besides these two financing agreements with SBB, the Federal Council approved an agreement with the German company DB Netz AG. Switzerland will co-finance up to CHF 350’000 the development of the Constance railway station. The work will enable RegioExpress St. Gallen – Constance Constance to enter Station.
These works are part of the LGV-R program, whereby the Confederation connects the eastern and western Switzerland to the European high-speed rail network. The financial resources come from the Fund for the financing of major railway projects (FTP).
