Interpipe Signs Contract to Supply Railway Products to Progress Rail Services

Pipe and wheel company (TAC) “Interpipe” (Dnipro) has signed a 5-year contract to supply railway wheels and axles, the company Progress Rail Services – one of the largest providers of railway products and services in North America, owned by Caterpillar.

As reported in a press release on Thursday, according to the terms of the contract, it will annually supply American partners with more than 10 thousand PCs machined of railway wheels and more than 1 thousand fine pieces of rail axles.
The first shipment of railway wheels has already taken place. Trade axes planned for the second quarter, according to a press release. All products will be produced according to the standards of the American Association of railroads and the additional requirements of the client.

In 2016, Interpipe sold 572 thousand tonnes of pipe and wheel products. The company employs 11.5 thousand employees.

The ultimate owner of Interpipe Limited is Ukrainian businessman Victor Pinchuk.
