EIB will Fund Athens Metro Extension Project
The European Investment Bank (EIB) has said it will invest €150m ($185m) in the extension of the Athens Metro in Greece.
The EIB said the loan would be used to design, build and commission extensions to two Athens Metro lines, and to provide new trains.
The line 2 extension project is expected to add 5.5km of underground line and four new stations.
The 4.3km-long metro line 3 extension is expected to have three new stations and an additional 1.4km line with one
