Konkan Railway Presents CCTVs at 17 Stations

The Konkan Railway Corporation Limited has installed CCTV cameras at seventeen railway stations along its route, including Thivim and Madgaon in Goa, as part of efforts to enhance passenger safety and security.

The Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) has presented installation of CCTV cameras at seventeen railway stations along the route.

A release from KRCL said that CCTVs can be installed at Kolad, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Pernem, Karmali, Canacona, Karwar, Gokarna Road, Bhatkal, Udupi and Surathkal.

“CCTV surveillance system has already been installed at Thivim and Madgaon stations (both in Goa),” it said.

“Installation of CCTVs at these stations will go a long way to infuse confidence in the travelling public to ensure their safety and security,” it said.
