Hong Kong will Build World’s Largest Undergroun HSR Terminus

Hong Kong’s Mass Transit Railway has selected AECOM Technology for the design of its largest underground high-speed rail terminus, which is expected to connect Hong Kong to mainland China’s high-speed rail network and be completed by 2015. The project includes a commercial development above ground over an area exceeding 25 acres.

Hong Kong’s Mass Transit Railway has chosen US company AECOM Technology to design the world’s largest underground high-speed rail terminus.

The $2bn terminus will connect Hong Kong to the high-speed rail network in mainland China and is expected to be completed by 2015.
The multi-level terminus will extend to an area of over 25 acres with a commercial development above ground.
