Thailand’s Prime Minister has committed 900 million baht for a nine-kilometer railway extension connecting Thailand and Laos through France.

Thailand’s Prime Minster Samak Sundaravej has pledged 900 million baht towards the construction of a nine-kilometre passenger and freight railway extension, writes the Bangkok Post.

The railway line will run from Thanaleng on the Thai border to Vientiane, the capital city of bordering Laos.
The rail link extension project is currently being studied by the French Development Agency, due to make an assessment shortly, writes the newspaper.
