UK Train Punctuality Highest for Last 10-Years

Network Rail reports improved train punctuality across six months ending September, reaching a 90.87% average and setting a target of 92.6% by 2014, with increased pre-tax profit and income.

UK rail infrastructure firm Network Rail says train punctuality is at a 10-year high.

The company says in the six months to the end of September punctuality rise to 90.87 percent, bringing the 12-month average to 88.8 percent.
The UK Government has set Network Rail a target of 92.6 percent punctuality by 2014.
Network Rail also reported pre-tax profit for the period increased to £780m, while income rise 3.4 percent to £3bn.
